The talkgroup list is filtered to that network automatically, so you only ever see groups you can actually reach, and a colour-coded network badge follows you across the radio screen, pickers and profiles.
When a phone call - or any other app - grabs the speaker, Z3DMR silences incoming radio audio and can cut an in-progress transmission instantly, so nobody hears half a conversation. Everything returns to normal the moment the call ends, and you can still unmute by hand.
The whole interface is translated into 26 languages - from English, Spanish, German, French, Italian and Russian to Macedonian, Estonian, Latvian, Hindi and Simplified Chinese. Pick one in Settings, or let Z3DMR follow your phone.

With your permission, Z3DMR reports your city and Maidenhead grid locator to the network on connect - just like a real hotspot - and can beacon your position to APRS-IS so you show up on aprs.fi. Both off by default; you pick the station icon, SSID and interval.
Export your connection profiles, your talkgroups, contacts and servers, or your app settings to a file - and import them back on a new phone or across the whole club. DMR IDs, talkgroups and hosts refresh themselves daily, and you can point the app at your own DMR ID list if you keep one.

No advertising, no analytics, no crash-reporting SDKs. The app talks only to the DMR network you choose - plus the public APRS-IS network, and only if you switch on position beaconing.
As with all amateur radio, transmissions aren't encrypted and are heard by others on the talkgroup. That's how ham radio works.
Microphone only while you hold PTT - audio is never recorded or stored. Location only if you want a grid locator or APRS. The optional accessibility service is used for one thing: noticing the hardware keys you bound to PTT and to changing talkgroup. It never reads your screen.
