Push-to-talk, anywhere
Key up over any DMR master server. Hold-to-talk or tap-to-talk, and bind hardware or Bluetooth buttons - PTT, plus Previous and Next to step through your favourite talkgroups - that keep working with the app minimized or the screen locked.
Group & private calls
Group calls on talkgroups and private calls to individual operators. Switch between them in a single tap.
Live activity log
See who's talking in real time: callsign, target talkgroup and duration, as it happens - with the operator's country flag next to the callsign, so you know where the signal came from at a glance. Choose the columns you want, or hide the log to give the space to a bigger PTT button.
Audio that works
AMBE voice via the on-device MD-380 vocoder, automatic gain control on both RX and TX, manual gain when you want it, and optional key, PTT and end-of-transmission tones.
Multiple profiles
Store several connection profiles and swap identity, network and talkgroup instantly.
Network-aware talkgroups
Pick a server and Z3DMR knows its DMR network - BrandMeister, TGIF, DMR+ IPSC2, FreeDMR and more. The talkgroup list is filtered to that network automatically, so you only ever see groups you can actually reach, and a colour-coded network badge follows you across the radio screen, pickers and profiles.
Phone calls take priority
When a phone call - or any other app - grabs the speaker, Z3DMR silences incoming radio audio and can cut an in-progress transmission instantly, so nobody hears half a conversation. Everything returns to normal the moment the call ends, and you can still unmute by hand.
Speaks your language
The whole interface is translated into 26 languages - from English, Spanish, German, French, Italian and Russian to Macedonian, Estonian, Latvian, Hindi and Simplified Chinese. Pick one in Settings, or let Z3DMR follow your phone.
Directories & favourites
Built-in talkgroup and DMR-ID directories with search, favourites and recents. Always at hand.
APRS & grid locator
With your permission, Z3DMR reports your city and Maidenhead grid locator to the network on connect - just like a real hotspot - and can beacon your position to APRS-IS so you show up on aprs.fi. Both off by default; you pick the station icon, SSID and interval.
Backup, restore & share
Export your connection profiles, your talkgroups, contacts and servers, or your app settings to a file - and import them back on a new phone or across the whole club. DMR IDs, talkgroups and hosts refresh themselves daily, and you can point the app at your own DMR ID list if you keep one.
Every setting, one search away
Z3DMR has a lot of knobs. Type what you're looking for at the top of Settings - "busy", "vibrate", "gain" - and jump straight to it, no matter which section it lives in.
